Library Trustee Candidate Information
Nominating Petitions for the open Library Trustee Positions will be accepted Monday, December 14th through Thursday December 17th from 10:00 am to 4:30 PM AND Friday December 18th from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm. On the last day to file petitions, Monday, December 21st, the deadline to submit petitions will be 5:00 pm.
The Library is currently only open for Curbside Service and for computer by appointment. Please call 708-757-4771 to be allowed entry to turn in your paperwork. Per current practice and with an abundance of caution, all Candidates or their designee will have their temperature taken and must sign a COVID symptom declination form for entrance to the Library. Should anyone decline the COVID check all paperwork will still be accepted and reviewed at the door only.
Objections to Library Candidate Petitions will be accepted starting Tuesday December 22, from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. Wednesday December 23, 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Monday December 28th and Tuesday December 29th, 2020 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. December 30th, 2020, the last day to file, objections will be accepted from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
*NOTE: Due to the holiday season, and previously scheduled staff training, we will be closing at 12:00 pm December 23rd and closed entirely December 24th and 25th.
Returning To Curbside Monday November 16th!
As a precaution the library will be returning to curbside service starting Monday November 16th. Library hours will remain the same (attached below). Patrons wanting to checkout materials will have to request items from the curb, by phone, or by using the online catalogue to place holds on items. Library cards will have to be presented at the door in order to receive the materials. Faxing, copying and other services will be available via curbside as well.
Reservations will be required for computer use and will be limited to 1 hour sessions and no more than 2 users per hour. These reservations can be made by phone 708-757-4771 starting Monday. Follow the library on Facebook and check the library website as updates will be posted there.
